Canvas wrap created from a Glass Lantern slide from our family heirloom. A lantern slide is a small glass transparency, typically 3.25 x 4 inches, designed for use in a projector that casts an enlarged image on a wall or screen. This slide was created from a black-and-white photograph and later given vibrant colors from an artist.

This picture was taken in the 1880's and was used by Lundy Travel on their trips to Europe to show Europeans the beauty of California to encourage them to come and visit.
