Perhaps we've been reminiscing on the old ways; the old stories that shaped our experiences, the scars, as well as the past times that were filled store with memories of laughter and sweetness…

Perhaps we are remembering who we were, and wishing we could take them along for the ride we're about to step onto, through this year and into eternity…

It's perfectly okay to hold on to those parts of yourself that are now irrelevant to your becoming. It truly is. There is no shame in feeling tenderness for who you've been. Give the part of yourself that wants to hold on some extra love and acceptance at this time.

Wanting to hold on to who you've been doesn't automatically mean that you are afraid of moving forward. It can mean that you are giving your past self the loving acceptance they need to settle into a greater contentment. So that they are ready to be put to rest in your memory as an aspect of you that did indeed serve you well.

With this New Moon in Capricorn, it is quite honestly a perfect time to reflect on your steps, so that you may know how to ascend even more gracefully and in your power moving forward.
