Store Broken Beauty Box 189

I kept this piece of wood for years that I used in the lid for this box. I loved the beautiful pattern in the wood but hated to cut it up to remove the "flaw." It recently dawned on me that the flaw was part of the beauty! So much like our lives, where even hard times can make us better people if we allow them too. It reminds me that God can take our broken lives, shape us in the way He has in mind, and a thing of beauty can be the result!

This will give you a wonderful place to unload your pockets for the night or to hold jewelry or keepsakes. Use it in your office for paper clips or rubber bands. Only your imagination will limit its uses! Excellent workmanship and tastefully chosen contrasting woods make this a great item you will enjoy over and over. The lid is walnut. The sides are cherry and the bottom is red oak.

Nearly all my wood is recycled from larger projects, salvaged cutoffs from larger commercial woodworkers, garage sales, habitat for humanity stores, or sometimes even trolling my neighborhood for cutoffs that I saw and dry myself!

Each piece is carefully made in my shop/studio. Every piece is a one store of a kind. I carefully choose contrasting woods and assemble them with you in mind! These aren't banged out production pieces, but carefully crafted works of art.
