Medium aprox: 13" across the top of the bag, 13.5" high and is 4 x 10" across the bottom. The comfortable padded adjustable straps are 36" long. It also has a loop to grab and carry the bag.Perfect size to start school.

XLG new larger size perfect for College age kids and diaper bags or just someone who has a lot of STUFF :) dimensions are aprox 17" across the top by 17" high and the bottom is 14 x 6 1/2" the straps are longer also!
This great backpack fits young or old! It is made with black fabric that has the American flag with a big buck and stars. I have matched it with a solid black for the bottom and straps, It is roomy inside with a zippered pocket for the medium size and your choice of the zipper pocket or the 6 open style like store in all my diaper bags and purses. It has Velcro tabs to take in the sides then it has a magnetic snap, plus velcro for a double closure. I used a double grosgrain ribbon trim, thick red with a gray running through it.
I have used a heavy fleece between the fabrics for shape.
