Smiling Kitty Wooden Mask is hand-carved and hand-painted by Mayan Artisans. This is one art piece of a large personal collection which was purchased and imported from the Guatemalan market store town of Chichicastenango in the 1990s.
The hand making of masks, used by dancers in traditional ceremonies, have made this city well known for wood carving.
