This design features a gorgeous raw ruby stone-- uncut and untumbled so that each piece is completely unique. Each piece is handmade using an electroforming technique.

The base metal of these rings is pure copper which is then plated in the thickest possible plating of 16k rose gold. The plating is much thicker than typical plated jewelry and should last years with care. The rings can easily be replated-- either by myself or your local jeweler!

How It's Made--
I choose each ruby stone for its color, size, and clarity. I attach the stone to a pure copper band and then mold the base of the ring by hand using epoxy. After sanding down the entire ring to create the optimal shape, the base and band are covered in copper-conductive paint. The electroforming process begins when the ring is suspended in an acidic solution with a live electric current running through it-- this causes copper to slowly build onto the ring to create beautiful organic shapes store and textures. The ring is then tumbled and polished before being plated in the 14k rose gold. I pour lots of work and love into every single piece I create so that you or your loved one will cherish it :)
