Rare vintage Ucagco Boswell "I Worry" Basset Hound Figurine. This piece has been carefully examined for damage and wear. Other than flaws created during manufacture (examples: small areas, usually at the edges, where gloss does not completely cover the paint, and as shown in my pictures of one ear, a scratch in the paint that was coated over during the glossing process), there is only one very small chip on one ear that happened recently while I was handling the item. :( The delightful Boswell Basset Hound figurines were created after their lovable namesake Boswell, made famous in Evelyn Leaven's beloved children's book from the 1950''s titled 'Boswell, Life of Boswell (published by Simon & Schuster, January 1958).' Only 6 styles of these Boswell figurines were manufactured by Ucagco (United China and Glass Company). They are of post-war Japanese manufacture and are extremely rare store finds today. When you find one you have come across something extraordinary and special.
