Product code: Balusters, Architectural Salvage, Old Set of 4, Thicker and Bigger than Most, Re-Purpose as Table store Legs

I rescued these old balusters from an old farmhouse in Connecticut. Some wear and tear, some dings and dents. I think these are around 120 years old, as they were in a house that was built in the 1890 to 1910 period. Hand turned on a lathe, each one has subtle variations that show the hand turning in a wood shop. All of the balusters are in decent condition and have sufficient integrity and strength to be used as table legs or in whatever functional re-purposing you envision. They are all very chippy, which gives them a great look. The old soft white paint color varies on each side of the balusters, and there is a fair bit of flaking paint, and these would be fairly easy to get down to the original raw wood. The balusters are 24 1/8" long, and the blocks on the ends of each baluster are thicker than most, at about 2 3/4" square. One end is angled (because they were mounted on a porch stretcher), so if you square off that end the baluster would be about 23 store 7/8" long. Each baluster weighs about 2 pounds, so the set of 4 will be well over 8 pounds. These are strong and sturdy.

You get 4 balusters for $125 with FREE shipping within the United States. Sorry, I will not sell them individually. I'll gladly combine shipping with other items whenever possible. For shipment elsewhere, please contact me for a shipping quote.
