Welcome to the Jewely Dooley Doll Company. I make these lovely boudoir dolls for display on dressers, desks, bookcases or anywhere else in your home that has a comfortable place for them to sit. A portion of the proceeds goes to S.P.Y. (Safe Place for Youth) to help them provide services to homeless children in and around Venice California.
The dolls are entirely hand made from wood pieces that are sawed, reamed, screwed together, painted, and finally detailed with hand made clothing and wigs. I add a touch or two of jewelry from my vintage costume jewelry collection, hence the name.
Each Doll is completely unique with an individual number or name. They measure approximately 11-12 inches from their bottoms to the tip of their heads. The body is 2 inches wide under all the fabric. Now the legs are intended to dangle and can be store from 6-18 inches not including their very large feet. Those wooden feet measure almost another 3 inches in length. Their faces are cute or pouty unless they are mid-song. Some hold baskets or flowers, iPads or iPhones etc.
Each Doll has a unique personality and faces the world with wide-eyed wonder. Their wish is to find a good home themselves and the homeless children nearby. Note these dolls are for display, not play. Their clothes cannot be removed and the wigs are delicate. They will survive falls and the occasional bump in the road. A good fabric glue can repair unexpected adventures. Thank you for visiting our factory.
