also known as a chadari in Afghanistan and Pakistan, is a traditional outer garment worn by women in order to veil their bodies and faces in public. Afghan-style burqas cover the entire face with the exception of a small area near the eyes which is concealed with a net or grille. The front center is cut from the waist down so that, when women step out to buy groceries or run errands and need to use their hands to pick up or carry things so that they are able to.
