Vintage Harley Davidson Wall store Art Photograph Entitled "After The Race"

A premiere name in the world of motorcycling, Harley Davidson is the subject of this one-of-kind store snapshot taken during a late 1930s race in the United States, re-worked into an art piece.

We see two men in classic Harley sweatshirts in front of a trailer carrying their bikes. Further behind is a sprawling wooden grandstand and a portion of the dirt track where at least one of them reigned victorious, given the reputation of these powerful, iconic machines in the hands of skilled and fearless riders. Another image listing shows the successful rider with his winnings.

This photograph began as a small, badly faded, and in some areas washed out, account of a day in the life of two race-circuit daredevils. The purse was probably modest by today's standards, but the exhilaration . . . exhilarating!

This image was faithfully brought back to life and printed on fine art paper using the highest quality inks. Its final size is now 22" X 17", including borders. The computer-based restoration of this historic image required approximately ten hours since much of the detailed grandstand was missing throughout the background, and other areas of the silver-gelatin emulsion were damaged as well. Many of the original dust scratches and other marks, and even the occasional stain, are normally left in as part of the image since the patina of age is always an important part of its character.
