Who is Anubis

Anubis he is
God of the dead, cemetery and mummification

It symbolizes

Death

Like many ancient Egyptian gods, Anubis took on different roles in different contexts. Portrayed as a tomb protector early in the First Dynasty (c. 3100–2890 BC), Anubis was also responsible for mummification. By the Middle Kingdom (circa 2055 – 1650 BC) he was replaced by Osiris in his role as master of the underworld. One of his prominent roles was as the guide of spirits in the afterlife. He attended Libra events, during which the heart was “weighted,” and it was determined whether the soul would be allowed into the world of the dead. Despite being one of the oldest gods and "one of the most mentioned gods" in the Egyptian Pantheon, Anubis played no role in Egyptian mythology.

Anubis is depicted in black, a color that symbolizes regeneration, life, the soil of the Nile River, and the discoloration of the body after mummification. Anubis is associated with his brother and Bawaut, another Egyptian god depicted with the head of a dog or in the form of a dog, but with gray or white fur. Historians assume that the two characters were eventually combined. 4] Anubis female counterpart is Anput. His daughter is the snake goddess Kebechet, probably dead.
