Product code: Store Enamelled Cast Iron Aebleskiver Pan, NAC Morso Denmark, Primitive Cookware, Egg Poacher

This unusual enamel lined cast iron pan with 7 ball shaped aebleskiper
(round Europen pancake treat) slots is marked NAC & Co on the store bottom.

The mark identifies it as made by N.A. Christensen and the Morso company out of
Nykobing Mors, Denmark. Starting in the mid-1800's, the company produced quality cookware
and stoves among other things. The company now specializes in stoves and my best guess
is that this particular pancake pan is from some time between 1900 and perhaps 1920.

The pan is in antique, used condition with all the signs of a good, long
life of use. The light gray enamel is
worn in many spots and it shows crazing throughout.
There are no cracks or breaks and the iron handle is firmly attached.

The aebleskiver measures 8.5 inches in diameter with each pancake slot about
2.25 inches at the opening and about 1.25 inches in depth.
The pan measures about 5 inches at the highest point of the handle.
The cooker weighs a little over 3 pounds and 5 ounces before packing.
