Hubbard Folding Box Co Wire Sewed Wood Shipping Crate Antique Vintage Primitive Advertising Storage Shipping Box First & Original Minneapolis Minn USA. Pat June 26, 1886 & June 16, 1931. Other info that I have found says: Made only by Hubbard Puffer Company. This is a great antique wooden box that folds flat for storage or transport. Can be used for home and garden decor, actual storage and transporting things. A great original collectible for country, primitive, farm decor. Can be used for a flower box also. Very unique. Was originally used for advertising and shipping and some had the store's name on them but this one is plain on both sides and has the store company manufacturers name stamped on one end of the box as you can see in the picture. It is held together by metal hinges that allow it to fold flat. When the box is opened up square, the bottom that is normally tucked inside when folded, falls into place for the bottom. It measures 20" long x 13" wide x 13" tall. It is a honey colored wood may be oak, not sure about that. This would make a great gift for someone who collects rustic decor and antique items.
