Wooden sculpture, in folk style, carved od a single piece of wood. A popular figure from South India. Used to decorate traditional homes and for display during the Navarathri/Dasara celebrations.
It is carved of hardwood, rosewood.
Difficult to get sculptures of this size.
Locally they are known as Marappachi (wooden dolls)
