Vintage French Oil Painting Countryside

This is a beautiful oil painting on canvas from France. Executed in the 1800's, this painting is of a home in the country surrounded by the trees and vegetation of the time. Bucolic and lovely.

The pastoral setting was well executed by the artist who paid attention to the smallest of details in the architecture of the structure, and added those to the painting as well.

This is a small canvas, measuring 9 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 1/2"

There is damage as shown around the edges of the painting and the upper left top corner. However, in thinking about the conflicts that France was forced to endure, store the war, destruction and aftermath, it's always amazing to me that anything of the 1800's survived for us to enjoy now. All in all, a truly lovely little painting in Vintage Condition, as to be expected.
