On offer a framed Jean Lurcat print of a rooster, backed on white cardstock. Lurcat is a noted artist of midcentury France, known for reviving interest in tapestry weaving. This may well be the cartoon for a tapestry. The dominant color is a strong chartreuse, as is the case in many of his works. Fun, accessible way to have a Lurcat, which tend to be thousands upon thousands of dollars. Curiously it is framed in moulding from the 1920s, but the two get along well, somehow. French Midcentury Tapestry Cartoon 1950s Chartreuse
SIZE: 10.5" tall x 8.5" wide
CONDITION: Decent vintage condition. As shown, presents beautifully. Loose within frame — backing board detached. This is an easy fix, should you choose to.
