Large, Vintage Chinese, Asian Deity, God or Immortal - store Chinoiserie, Lu Hsing, Prosperity and Good Fortune, Hand Painted Polychrome Porcelain
Beautiful, large Asian porcelain figurine wearing red, blue and green robes with gilt gold details - both hand painted and transfer patterns. I believe he is Lu Hsing, one of the 8 Chinese Immortals (a God or Deity), bringing prosperity and good fortune. He has really lovely features - pleasant eyes, flowing whiskers, and a healthy blush on his cheeks. Dragons on his sleeves, chrysanthemums and tassels decorate his clothing, and he holds a Ruyi scepter. No maker's marks on the underside, but I believe this is a more recent iteration. I've never store seen one this large. Please take a close look at the photos to see all the details. Just stunning!
Measures 14 inches high, 6 inches wide and 4 inches deep.
Very good vintage condition with no cracks or repairs. I did notice some discoloration on the left side of the ruyi - white where it should be green. Not sure if it is a chip or was skipped in the painting process.
