Vintage Twisted Wire Silver and Brass Flower Basket store

A note attached to the bottom of this basket dates it to 1924. It appears to store be silver but there are no identifying markings on it. The metal hand painted flowers are made of brass and are linked by a twisted brass rope that hugs the basket rim. Heavy twisted handles gracefully attach to the sides of the basket and counter the solid silver bottom in design. The basket looks to be hand assembled and is a most unusual metal piece. It is in excellent condition with no scratches. The silver finish is in as found condition with the older patina in tack.
