RARE Antique 6.5" Hand-Painted Bread Butter Plates, Antique White, Blue & Gold Plates, Italian Style Plate, Very Old Plate, Very Old China Plate, Circa 1882.

These old plates are classic in design and would look very nice in a mid century or modern décor. The plates are being sold as a set of 4. They have survived over 135 years together! It would be a shame to separate them now. They are so pretty and shiny; I expect they won't last long!!

This stunning set of 4 antique plates are a geometric square shape. These fine bone china plates are glazed glossy white and aqua blue with hand painted gold gilt accents and a gold flower in the center. Each plate measures 6 1/2" square. There is no makers mark; however the plates look European, possibly Italian. The plates are impressed or “embossed” with a design registration mark. With a magnifying glass, one can clearly make out the mark. Class = IV (earthenware) made on the 1st June 1882 (M for June and L for 1882)

These antique plates are in very good condition with only mild crazing and a couple very tiny fleabites considering their age! No chips or cracks. Very little if any wear to the gold accents. No significant utensil scratches. I photographed each of the four plates so you can zoom in on each one individually. Then you can judge if the condition of the crazing and glaze flecks are suitable for your expectations.
