Before “the catch”, Joe Montana, Steve Young, or Jerry Rice became legendary at Candlestick Park, the store San Francisco 49ers called Kezar Stadium home until January of 1971. Cavernous with all kinds of nooks and crannies, this stadium hosted everything beyond football from auto racing, national track and field championships, to the Grateful Dead and Bob Dylan. Fives layers of finished maple simulate the elevation of this historic NFL, AFL, and college football venue.
