Nothing is broke on it. The screen has some wear marks on it but it does not affect the quality of pictures in any way. The lens is not scratched. The camera would require a memory card in order to take new pictures (card not included with camera). Both pictures and videos can be taken with this camera. Nothing is wrong with the camera. I received another as a gift and no longer need this one. Smoke free home.
