store Mariana Odio is the print maker in our Scorzo Shop. She is currently studying at the University of Costa Rica and her main topics refer to the cycles of life: birth, death, sadness, health and pain.
Her art is produced in small batches, making it more valuable over time.

As part of her creative process during the pandemic, lockdowns and a whole new way of facing live, Mariana explored the meaning of self, creation, living, being withheld, barriers. This etching communicates the exasperation some (or most) of us lived during the past years. Although a hard topic to communicate, it is also a reminder that things today are better than they were in the past, hoping for a better future as well.
