This beautiful large antique white ironstone platter measures about 15 1/2" long, 12 1/8" across. It has a lovely curved leaf-like design along the edge and an oval shape. The base is marked with an impressed mark which is difficult to read, but the piece is identical to a T R Boote design. This piece has a nice heavy weight and some warping, as was typical of large antique ironstone platters. It is in good antique condition with scratches, stains, dirt and signs of use consistent with its age. It is still very sturdy and ready to be put back to use.
Ironstone looks great with vintage or modern decor. This platter would make a lovely addition to an ironstone collection and it is sturdy store enough for every day use.
