Wonderful antique Victorian brooch!!! Circa 1880s. The base looks to be bog oak, but there is a chance that it is Whitby Jet. store The top beads, which are anchored onto the base, are matte satin glass. The hardware is copper, and the pin back is a c-clasp.

Brooch measures app. 2 1/8" x 5/8". Good antique condition. There is a flaw at the one corner (see 3rd photo), where the base has slightly chipped and, along with it, the glass bead that was anchored there is missing. It is hardly noticeable, but the piece is priced in accordance to the flaw.
