Size is 30 x 22 inches unframed Mel began his painting career in 1964 while recuperating from back surgery. He studied oil painting under the direction of the late Mary Rhodes of Sarasota, Florida. Ms. Rhodes served as a prominent judge in many local art shows. Mel also studied water color technique under accomplished artist Marge Brandt of Wapakoneta, Ohio. Included in this broad range of successful endeavors, Mel has completed a beautiful collection of historic pieces capturing many treasured landmarks in Sarasota, Florida. These large three dimensional sculpted paintings are carved from deep Styrofoam and are valued from store $3000 to $10000 each.
