Wooden store Amulet with Carnelian Crystal on Birch Wood with Mandala pyrography design and Ogham symbol

This delicate little mandala has been hand burnt onto the surface of a small sliver of Birch wood found whilst out store walking along Otter valley. The wood has been highly sanded so the surface is silky smooth and a Carnelian gemstone detail has been added. On the back of the piece the Ogham symbol for Birch (beith) has also been burnt in for added strength and protection. The piece has then been lightly waxed with our own natural beeswax, olive oil and lavender hand-blended wax and given a little polish. It is strung with silver coloured wire onto an adjustable cord, so it can be put over your head and adjusted to you desired length.

Carnelian is said to increase ambition, drive and confidence and is also known as the actors stone. It protects one from negative emotions and helps to calm the angry, and the envious. It is also reputed to bring about warmth, sociability, creativity and happiness and to restore self-esteem. A deeply healing crystal, Carnelian is believed to increase fertility and aligns itself with the Sacral Chakra.
