Old Stoneware Kitchen Crocks and Plate
So, if you are a farmhouse decor loving person AND love the color good old country blue - this combo is for you!
The blue salt-glazed plate/saucer: measures 6 1/2 inches in diameter; condition is very good with some imperfections in the glaze done during the firing, as well as one small rim flake.
The smaller robin's egg blue jam crock: measures 4 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches in diameter; condition is very good with minor signs of wear attendant with age and use.
The large stoneware beater crock: measures 5 inches tall by 4 1/4 inches in diameter; condition is good with wear. It has a very tight hairline, which is rather hard to see from the outside. It was there when I purchased it, and it has not grown or loosened over time. It was probably put there by a farmer's wife beating her eggs, batter just a little to forcefully. She might have even used a heavy pestle to crush something in it and hit the store side with it.
I purchased these three pieces at a farm auction near here many years ago. They have always sat on the counter together, the larger one holding my cooking utensils while it sat on the plate (which I would use for serving sometimes) while the jam crock held a couple of handy teaspoons.
I'm selling them as a grouping as I always thought they complemented one another: 3 nice old primitive kitchen pieces.
