A gorgeous early bracelet from Tunisia made of silver with several punch store marks (moor's head) near the clasp. The bracelet is decorated with scroll work and overlaid stylized Arabic script which I believe is the name "Tunis", the Tunisian capital. This type of bracelet was made for Europeans rather than for locals.
The bracelet is hinged and closes with a push in type of clasp which works well and is attached to a safety chain. It is generally in good condition.
Inner circumference 18 cm (7"). Inner diameter is 5.5 cm (2 1/2"). It is 2.7 cm (1 1/8") at widest. Weight 24.5 g.
