Ink bottle collection 5 vintage office desk ink bottles Manganese glass, store Green glass, Higgins black ink, Major's Leather Cement
This collection of vintage ink bottles belongs in an old dusty library den. There are 5 bottles in total store.
1. A 3 inch Higgins Ink with a rubber stopper and paper label. I haven't opened this, the seal is tight, but I can hear liquid swishing around inside.
2. Green glass bottle 3 1/4 inch tall with a cork stopper. This one has raised lettering that reads 'Majors Cement, 232 Wm St, NY City'. On the other side, it reads 'This is Major's Leather Cement.
3. A square purple bottle with no stopper that is 2 inches tall. This is old manganese glass pre 1920's. It starts out clear with the manganese as a filter to make the glass appear clear then it oxidizes over time into this purple color.
4. An 8 sided octagon bottle in green glass measuring 2 inches tall with no stopper
5. A green glass oval bottle that is 2 1/2 inches tall with a glass stopper.
All the bottles are in good shape with no chips or cracks. There is wear and tear to the paper label on the Higgins ink bottle. These would make a a brandy and cigar decor finish for your private room. Add some old books and you will be all set.
