Vintage Bellhop store Schuco Trapeze Tumbling Monkey~Works

He is about 9 1/2" tall and the tumbling mechanism still works. He is dressed as a Bellhop with a felt face, glass eyes and worn mohair on his exposed hands and feet. His limbs are straw stuffed with the body metal. There are moth holes to the felt jacket and 1 on the back of his red hat. As you can see from the last photo the entire costume has split down the back seam and store needs repair. The limbs also need repair to keep them attached to the metal armature (they occasionally fall off). The tips of the hands have a lot of wear also. The mechanism works well but it need to have a new trapeze fabricated. This piece is being sold AS IS. With some TLC you can have a nice piece at a reasonable price.
