Hand Drawn & Watercolor Custom store Animal Art-Illustrative Style

I love painting and drawing animals! With this more illustrative style, I will do a less literal interpretation of your pet and use pen and watercolors to create a drawing/painting as warm and wonderful as your beloved pet! I will either do this as a landscape style 12"x9" or a portrait style 9"x12" painting/drawing depending on the original photo provided!

The example art shows the finished products (two photos, just different lighting in my apartment!) and the original that I used as a reference.

My favorite thing about drawing your pet is capturing their unique personalities. If you have time, please do share your pet's personality traits with me as well as maybe a story about him or her.

**Please note, if you select a QTY of 2 or more for your order, the drawings will be different since they will be made to order. I can try to make them as similar as possible, or, if you have different photos of your pet you would like me to use for each drawing, let me know! Or, if you two pets for example, you could order two portraits. Only one pet per portrait.

After placing your order, please send me photos of your pet in an Etsy message with the Order # in the message. I will need 1-2 photos of good quality (hello, Portrait Mode!) and taken in good lighting.
-Try to take the photo from head on. Strange angles and proportions may take away from you pet's adorable face!
-The best angles are with your pet looking straight at you or with their head slightly tilted to one side looking past the camera.
-It is important that the photo is sharp and in focus. Sadly, I am unable to work from blurry photos.
-Please don't use a flash. From personal experience, my animals always look a bit possessed when the flash hits their eyes. Plus, they probably aren't a huge fan of the paw-parazzi!

I am just starting my shop and hope to add other mediums in the future as I figure out shipping. Currently, this offering uses pencil for the original sketching but then will be in black pen with some white pen accents as well as watercolor.

Please allow 7-14 business days to create your portrait, but due to order volume, it may be longer. This would be from the time you send me photos of your pet as I make these to order based off of your photos!

The weight of the package will vary; however, I plan to use a flat-rate envelope.
