This is a vintage Fashioned By Dixelle 925 sterling silver cameo earrings and necklace set. The earrings and pendant are both stamped sterling. The chain measures 16 inches long, and the pendant measures approx 1 1/8 inches wide by 1 1/8 inches tall. The screw back earrings measure 5/8 of an inch by 1/2 of an inch wide.
The history of the Dixelle jewelry company began in 1962 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The family business was owned by Robert Stearns. The company distributed, manufactured, and sold jewelry and related products. They handcrafted pins, brooches, earrings, and necklaces. Traditionally they used 12K gold filled and 925 sterling silver coupled with cameos, moonstone, tiger's eye, onyx, and jade. Very often, their jewelry was sold in beautifully branded boxes, lined with silk, and covered with a tapestry with an exquisite pattern.
