Vintage brass fire extinguisher made by the Pyrene Manufacturing Company of Newark, New Jersey. This one is missing the pump handle and has dents, dings, scratches and scuffs, so not a collector's item but I think the brass still looks amazing. I'm sure there are creative people out there that could think of a way to repurpose or use as a decorative item.
The extinguisher measures 12 1/4 inches long and 3 inches across.
As mentioned above, this one has significant damage and the handle is missing (it was a complete mess when I got it!). The pump handle is gone and there are deep dents. The brass hex bolt on the top broke off so it has been glued into place and is not removable. There are scratches and gouges and the front manufacturing label has lost some of the black paint. Surprisingly, the larger Pyrene logo on the front looks great.
