Vintage AYNSLEY 2406 Deep Rich Turquoise with Gold Chintz Filigree Lace Design & BLUE CABBAGE ROSE BOUQUET tea cup & saucer set - WIDE MOUTH DORIS SHAPE - MADE IN ENGLAND. This is an original set that was never used & rarely displayed - stunning. DRAMATIC DEEP TURQUOISE with gold gilt fancy chintz filigree lace design on both the cup and saucer. Cup interior has a beautiful enameled large blue cabbage rose bouquet with brilliant gold gilt leaves & palest lavender leaves. Gold gilt rims / edges & gold gilt detail work on the handle, multiple bands around the pedestal foot - gold gilt bands around saucer rim & center. It has a beautiful glaze & there are no signs of use, no crazing, no store aging, no fading, no chips, no fleabites, no cracks no damage, no repairs. Pings to perfection with a lovely high pitch ring. Each piece has the (c 1939 green) EST 1775 AYNSLEY ENGLAND BONE CHINA 28 (29) Aynsley back stamp with artists marks & numbers 2406. Full size measuring 4" cup diameter & 5 3/4" saucer diameter.
