Tarpon start out looking like a miniscule eel with the transparency of a jellyfish (called a leptocaphalus). Leptocephalus (meaning "slim head") is the flat and transparent larva of the members of the superorder Elopomorpha, which include the Tarpon

Created out of glass: cut, shaped, layered and fused in a kiln.
