Vintage, Hand-crafted, Very Old Leather Purse. No less than 65 years old... (perhaps decades more) . Timeless design and timeless technique... No tags, no machining, no really indicative markings. There is Genuine age. Look closely, no sewing by machine at all... I bought it over thirty years ago, it was pretty much just as it is today, deep layers of color, patina tones of rich browns, burnished shine, worn edges, scuffed and puckered...Beautiful to a leather lover...Authentic age.
Historical, an Antique. It was very old back when I bought it, and except for more dust in the crevices, It hasn't changed much in three and a half decades. I do Not plan to use any cleaners on it, and will leave that to the buyer's discretion.
The exterior is beautiful warm tones of brown and amber. The inside is rough hide, not lined. I suggest a liner or store interior purse if you plan to use it daily. I displayed it. The exterior has a wonderful age a great hue a patina of aged natural leather. The stitching is tight and looks like it was done by a horse-tack or saddle maker. I adore this statement piece. An artisan bag, likely American or Canadian though, worldly and timeless by the natural materials and simple design. This shoulder bag has a 14.5 inch fall( 29 inch strap.) It is all leather, no grommets or rivets. Historic, and likely pricey compared to others you see. Look closely for the genuine age is here. Original.
