Sony CFD-501 Boombox CD Player AM/FM Radio Cassette Player Does Not Work. We fully tested this boombox and here are the results. The AM/FM Radio player received a good signal and produced great sound. The antenna is in good condition but store the small pieces of plastic are no longer on the back where the antenna snaps into place. See photos. The CD player read our 5 test CDs with no problem. Products great sound. The cassette player did not pass our tests. The gears did not move any of our test tapes. This boombox would work well on a job site or in a workshop.
