Vintage ship's ashtray of brass with closed lid. From Tallink known to go from the port of Helsinki, Finland to store Tallin, Estonia.
In very good condition. Item looks , feels and is clean and does not exhibit a doused cigarette smell ( a cent of tobacco is present upon opening of lid). Does have aging of brass. Fastening seam of lid is superbly functional and has no flaws. Interior shows use yet not in a manner that one would refuse to show this piece open, and is thus suited for display in any manner. Top has minor "nick" above ships logo (far left top side), difficult to identify and can be seen at a particular angle only with the appropriate light applied. Exhibits scratches from wrong rubbing/cleaning compound, particularly around anchor.
*Please note; Pictures show hue more “copper-like”. This is entirely due to lighting. It is presently somewhat aged brass color. Last picture shows ashtray entirely polished.
Has substantial weight of 223.9g.
