Unique Damasquinado Toledo In 24K gold Depicting The Famous Spanish Bullfighters. Condition is "Used". Rare to find such a beautiful, unique piece! Depicts a poster advertising the bullfight for May 5,1962. Damasquinado art has been around for over 4000 years, Toledo Spain is the worlds leading center for fine Damascene art since the 9th century. Damascene is the inlaying of gold, silver, or copper threads into a base of oxidized metal. The patterns are etched into the metal and the thread, so thin it is barely visible, is worked into the edges. This piece is in beautiful condition, although a rattle can be heard when you shake the picture, the backing is all intact. Being vintage there are some light scratches around the frame. All the original tags and labels In place. Please see the pictures for all the details. Some damage to the back side but doesn't store affect the front and is not visible.
