About gold content: This 23.9g vintage ring is unmarked but tests for low karat gold (less than 10k - likely 5-7k). I got it in a lot of jewelry, had to clean it up and test. Because I don't think there is an acid to test for less than 8k so there is no way to know for sure so I'll just pass on savings to you. The ring stands on its own in quality and style without needing store low karat gold to add to the value. The divets are not oxidized or green. It is a true gold tone as opposed to the rose gold of the rest of the ring. Reflections make it look weird! Straight from the 50's or 60's, this size 8.5 classic ring sports a very attractive pyrite cabochon in a hammered rose gold/copper toned setting. In this day and age I would say it is unisex.
