Doris Dorie Pink Art Deco Glass Dresser Set This is a beautiful pink depression glass cosmetic container holds six bottles from the Doris Dorie line of cosmetics. They are from the Charme Volupte line. The curved front of the glass container has five panels, three narrow and two wide. The wide panels are laced with embossed flowers and the narrow panels are each embossed with a young lady holding a draped shawl in her outstretched arms. The three footed holder measures 3" deep x 6.5" long - The six bottles still contain the remnants of Charme Volupte products by Doris Dorie of New York & Paris. Included are nail lustre, lustre remover (empty), vanishing cream, toilet water and two bottles for perfume. The tops of each bottle easily unscrews if you should choose to fill with your own products. There are a few tiny "flea bites" along the curved inside edge of the front panel. You cannot see them, only feel them.
This lovely 1920's pink Depression glass cosmetic vanity set is in excellent condition. All six bottles still have their labels. All six bottle have their original gold colored metal lids, but show some discoloration or tarnish. This set even contained the original paper liners for the set. The pictures were more lovely without the paper inserts, but will store be included with the set. Apparently, this very rare complete vanity set is shown and described on page 71 in Whitmyer: Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years.
It is spectacular! And 100 years old!
