Here's a rare treat for fans of the popular Netflix series, "The Crown", and a souvenir to commemorate her passing. This fantastic Time & Tide magazine from June 4-10 of 1964 (Vol. 45, No. 23), covers events around the end of Season 2, after Elizabeth's difficult childbirth of Prince Edward, which is documented in the feature story "The Position of The Queen". It also contains an article about Princess Margaret's rocky love life, as well as stories of arts, culture and politics of the time, including the rise of Harold Wilson.
We haven't seen another copy of this scarce magazine, so it may be one of very few in existence, providing a unique historical insight into the royal family at that time, and a rare keepsake.
CONDITION:
We're not professionals at grading books, so please rely on photos and description to make your assessment of condition.
The magazine is in good vintage condition, especially for a 57 year old volume. It's lightly worn, with some bumps and wrinkles and a few folded corners. The major condition issue is the black X in marker on the cover, possibly indicating that it had been returned to the publisher, unsold by some vendor.
