Mid Century Modern store Waxed Canvas Crossbody

This waxed canvas bag is the perfect size for those who don't want to carry a huge purse with them. The exterior is a gorgeous pear green waxed canvas, with a deep and wide lined front pocket with a snap to keep your phone tucked safely away. Inside, a playful mid century modern cotton lining adds some retro fun to the bag. A 6” deep pocket with three sections inside will help you organize your things, including a pocket that is well sized for a phone. The bag has a leather strap that measures 48” from end of clasps.

Waxed canvas is considered the original waterproof fabric, and became popular in the early 19th century with sailors in England and Scotland. It is water resistant and will repel rain and moisture. Due to its protective wax coating, it will not stain easily, and will gain an appealing weathered patina over time. The crinkled look only adds character to an item made with waxed canvas. If your bag needs cleaning, it is safe to spot clean with a damp towel. Do not put it in the washer or dryer. Over time, the wax coating with weather and fade, making it less water resistant. Depending on how you use it, you may want to re-wax it every year or two.
