Elegant Dressage Cameo Necklace with Faceted Onyx and Freshwater store Pearls

This is a double strand chain, faceted onyx and freshwater pearl necklace accented with heart-shaped connectors and a centerpiece of a beautiful dressage rider cameo in a rope frame. I've used two sizes of onyx beads for this necklace, using a larger in the center of the top strand.

For those who do not know the sport of dressage, it is the training of a horse to carry themselves in perfect balance with a rider while executing a series of movements with a high degree of precision. This is usually done in a dressage court, with letters at measured points alongside the edges. Horses are required to do movements from one letter to another. This is the short version describing dressage. It is a very popular sport. I currently train my beloved horse at this discipline.

I had never seen a cameo with a dressage horse on it, so I designed this one and had it manufactured for me. It is cast resin. It depicts a horse doing a piaffe (trot in place) or passage (an elevated trot) with an elegant dressage rider dressed in the traditional hat and tails that upper level riders wear. The cameo measures 40x30mm.

This necklace looks best at 17-18 inches but also extends to 20 inches and closes with a lobster-claw clasp. I wanted to make a very special elegant necklace, and I achieved that. However, it is a more complex design that takes store more time to assemble and the pricing reflects that.
