A stunning natural Peridot and Green Pearl, 10-strand beaded torsade necklace with green glass and crystal beads all hand knotted in silk. Artist made necklace made in the 1990's

This very chic and gorgeous natural peridot necklace features wonderfully zesty lime green wedge shaped beads or chips…The beads range from 4 to 7 mm in length. They are very clear and have a beautiful rich peridot color described as lime or chartreuse green. There are inclusions in some of the beads but clarity is very transparent and luminous.

There are too many peridot beads to count but I've done a quick look per strand and I estimate there's nearly 500 peridot beads that are hand strung onto green silk. There are approximately 50 gorgeous dyed green (almost a golden chartreuse color) freshwater pearls that are 4-6mm in diameter.

The clasp is made of roped and knotted silk with clusters of pearls acting as fasteners for the silk loop on the opposite end of the necklace. A beautifully designed closure that makes quite a statement. There are two clusters of pearls at 1.5” apart to create an adjustable feature.

The maximum length is 18 inches but can be worn at approximately 16 1/2 inches. In between the pearls and the peridot beads, there are also beautiful peridot colored faceted crystal beads and glass beads to give extra dimension and sparkle!

This necklace is approximately 18 inches long at maximum length and in excellent vintage condition with no visible wear. This would make an excellent Valentine's Day gift or a special birthday store gift for anyone who loves this beautiful gemstone.

This beautiful necklace can be worn in a freeform style allowing the strands to freely drape, or… It can be worn twisted in a torsade style!
