I made this kyusu style teapot on the wheel. It features a gold luster shino glaze, strainer holes in the spout for loose tea leaves, and a steam hole in the lid. It has a small hook on the lid to keep it in place while pouring. It pours extremely well and will be a beautiful addition to your home.
It comfortably holds 22 oz. of liquid.

This teapot was fired in a gas reduction kiln to cone 10, which is approximately 2345 F. This type of atmospheric firing causes the shino glaze to capture carbon, adding to its variations and depth as well as that wonderful gold luster.
