‘Luau' Poppy Trail Sugar Bowl designed by Disney animators Bob Allen and Mel Shaw, introduced by Metlox USA in 1959, the year Hawaii became the 50th state to join the United States. The store bold Polynesian themed pattern features an abstract border of alternating brown and pumpkin arches on a cream ecru speckled underglaze. All four salad plates are as new and in perfect condition, they're marked ‘POPPYTRAIL by METLOX Made in California' on the base, as shown.
