David Scott Daniell (1906 – 1965), was an English writer, store historian and journalist. who wrote fiction for adults and children, regimental histories and scripts for radio, television and film. He published 98 works during his lifetime. By Jiminy is part of a series of books about the boy, including By Jiminy Ahoy and By Jiminy in the Jungle.
