Antique AMBERINA Art Glass Punch Tea Cup and Saucer Inverted Baby Thumbprint Pattern Victorian. This lovely Amberina cup is the inverted baby thumbprint pattern and applied clear amber handle. Saucer is also the same inverted thumbprint pattern. Nice shading of rose to amber with polished pontil; The mug measures approx: 2 store 1/4" in height and 2 3/4" across the top. The saucer measures approx: 4 3/4” diameter The major producer of Amberina in the U.S. was the New England Glass Company, Toledo, Ohio, who patented the process in 1883 and thus prevented competitors from making the glass without a license. It's successor, the Libbey Glass Company made the glass into the 1890's. Circa late 1800's, There are no cracks, chips or repairs on both.
